Khara Bath or Upma is a popular basic breakfast dish savoured all over South India. It is made using semolina / rava, spices, herbs, vegetables such as carrots, beans and nuts to make it both a healthy and balanced diet. To give it a traditional touch, it is tempered with urad dal, mustard seeds and curry leaves.
